This is one of Krista Tippett's great interviews. For me it possibly sits alongside her one with John O'Donahue for insight. At this time, in this world, I found the messaging between minutes 36 and 40 particularly helpful.
One of my recent posts was about not having a passion to work on. This HBR article suggests that we maybe put too much weight on passion in the work place and perhaps even passion in general, and instead should focus on tying our lives to what we care about. It made me feel a little better.
Vets have been amongst the most vocal of advocates for the one health concept, and this post perhaps suggests that the reasons vets have the feeling that more should be done is that they have historically been complicit in creating many of the problems that we face ecologically and bioethically. Written in long form, and philosophical, it is worth the while to sit and think about this, especially if it makes you uncomfortable.
