About image
I am embarking on a journey to discover why it is I have been put here.  Sounds cliched, I know. This is a place to air my ramblings and thoughts, collate them and keep them for future review, instead of the dozens of notepads and journals that lie around my house and office.  How the site evolves and what it may become, that is part of the journey. Hopefully, if you discover this site, there is at least one thought, idea or comment that I have composed that may give you pause to question what it is that you think that you know.

I feel much as Lord Byron must have when he said, "If I am fool, it is, at least, a doubting one; and I envy no one the certainty of his self-approved wisdom." I find that there is little that I am confident of these days, making me think Voltaire was a man of a time like this, for he is reported to have said, "Doubt is not a pleasant condition, but certainty is absurd."
